Tutoring sessions are held for a minimum of 1 hour and maximum of 2 hours, for any given scheduled session.
Staff are to dress is business casual clothing when working in a client’s home.
There is no use of cell phones during tutoring sessions. Please turn all ringers and notification off.
Should you feel you need to extend your session on a given day, always consult with the parent/guardian before staying more than the usual time.
If a tutor needs to cancel a session, it is most courteous to give the family a minimum of 24 hours notice. When you contact the family to cancel the session, it is mandatory to provide them with a minimum of 3 options for makeup times and dates. It is up to their discretion whether they will make up the session
If a client cancels a session, it is mandatory to ask the client if they would like to book a make up session. They are aware that there is no guarantee for scheduling when they cancel their usual time
For sessions take place in the comfort of the client’s home, the sessions must take place in an open common space in the house (ie; kitchen, dining room, etc.). Sessions cannot take place behind a closed door
An adult over the age of 21 must be home at all times, while CSA sessions are taking place. If there is no adult home, please either call the parent/guardian to remind them of the policy and see where they are or call Cori Stern immediately to resolve the matter.
CSA staff are responsible for logging their hours each week after their sessions
Staff are paid monthly. Payment are send out at the beginning of each month for the previous month's work.
Team members do not handle any client invoices or payments from the family. All staff are paid directly by CSA.
It is best practice to never tell to a client “I don’t know”. If you are even in doubt about anything, please tell them you’ll get back to them once you consult with the appropriate people or resources
CSA take client confidentiality extremely serious. Staff are prohibited from discussing their clients outside of their sessions, with the exception of CSA personnel. Staff will not take any pictures of clients, associate with clients over social media or any other public forum.
This is a contracted position. You assume responsibility for your own behaviour and well being while with your clients. It is highly advised to obtain professional liability insurance to protect yourself and your client.
